Critical Path’s Central West Regional Practice Lab 4 – 9 November 2018

Bathurst, Cowra and Orange

For this choreographic residency network project, that will connect artists working in dance & choreography to the Central West NSW region, Critical Path invited Tanya Brown, Susan Barling, Vicky van Hout and Rosslyn Wythes. The four artists will participate in a facilitated process of exploration and interaction with the three locations in Bathurst, Orange and Cowra. During this week, the artists will reflect on their practice in response to the environment. The program in each location will incorporate interaction with community, independent sight –seeing activities and a workshop/sharing event, with a self-directed or collaborative program that will be implemented by a project facilitator and a local (Bathurst based) facilitator.

The aim of the Regional Practice Lab is to support more regional arts development, and to offer a framework for dance and choreographic research and development, as well as creating opportunities for access to the resources of the Central West region to independent artists.

Partners: Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre, Orange Civic Theatre, Cowra City Council, Arts OutWest.
