Impro Exchange Lab 2017

De Quincey Co is delighted to invite EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST from professional dancers, artists and wild cards to participate in this years Impro Exchange improvisation research lab, led by Frank van de Ven – Bodyweather Amsterdam.

These labs are designed to explore the nature of improvisation between dancers and artists from different backgrounds, ages and traditions. Importantly the focus is on a collective as opposed to an individual rationale, forwarding a group sensibility but also fierce independence. The aim is to generate a forum for dialogue, exchange and discussion around strategies and processes of improvisation.

In curating and leading these labs, we would like to work with artists who have a focus on improvisation and who see this context as an opportunity for their professional development.
