Sharing at Mirramu

Su WenChi & Adelina Larsson will be in residence at Mirramu Creative Arts Centre from October 29 – November 9 in partnership with Critical Path.

There will be a public sharing at Mirramu Creative Art Centre at 6pm on Tuesday November 6.

Mirramu and Critical Path are partnering to offer a two-year program to support the development of connections between the local community around Lake George (Weereewa) and regional & international artists.

The artists will work alongside each other sharing the residency space, engage with each other, with local artists and with the broader community as part of their process.

SU Wen-Chi (Taiwan) is a dancer, choreographer and new media artist working in Taiwan. In 2005 SU founded YiLab. in Taiwan, an experimental group of new media and performance artists working on integrating new technology with the performing arts, and seeking to present new performing formats. YiLab.’s philosophy is: in a work, there is not just one dominant medium, only concepts that appear similar but collide with one another; every artist involved is an independent entity who can freely put forward their viewpoint and undertake in-depth exploration of the core significance of the theme.

Adelina Larsson (NSW) is a Swedish/Australian choreographer, performer, educator, curator and producer. She instigates collaborations and projects that centers in interdisciplinary practices and works between the professional and community. She trained at DOCH Stockholm and CODARTS Rotterdam and since moving to Australia in 2007 she has choreographed and performed for performing arts companies presenting at Melbourne International Arts Festival, Federation Square, Sydney Opera House, The State Theatre Centre of WA, Australian Institute of Sport, The Canberra Theatre Centre and Fremantle Arts Centre.
