Responsive Research Program Resident 2015
Patricia Wood is a collaborator, performer and maker, working in the realms of dance and performance. She’s is currently completing a Masters in Research (Dance) at Macquarie University. Patricia has worked with dance companies and independent artists such as Les Commandos Percu (Fr), Stan’s Café (UK), Tasdance, Autumnal, and with independents Ros Crisp, Clare Dyson, Natalie Cursio, Martin del Amo, Dean Walsh, Solon Ulbrich and Fiona Malone. In 2014, Patricia worked for Ausdance NSW and Sydney Dance Company to produce the large-scale community event, Big Dance. Her writing has been published in Un Magazine and Critical Dialogues.
This year Patricia will submit her Masters in Research (Dance) *self high five*. In February she’s in an open studio residency at Critical Path and in April will perform in Mette Edvardsen’s work Time has fallen Asleep in the Afternoon Sunshine for the 20th Biennale of Sydney. Later in the year she will return to the Western Province of Papua New Guinea to continue to learn from the Kamula Women. Post thesis Patricia will continue developing a couple of ongoing projects and is planning to create a website.
