Energy Image Flow – a 5-week workshop series with Lian Loke as part of CRITICAL PRACTICE
Energy Image Flow is an enquiry into the intersection of Qigong energy cultivation with movement improvisation for dance and performance. Qigong is an Eastern Daoist system that aims to integrate the mind, body and spirit into a relaxed flow of energy guided by the breath. Through grounding the body, relaxing the muscles and quietening the mind, one can experience a sense of interconnectedness with the inner and outer world. The workshop will train the embodied imagination to generate kinaesthetic expression from images and energies that flow in and out of a receptive body.
