INFORM WORKSHOP-LAB WITH BELLOO CREATIVE’S CAROLINE DUNPHY & IDIOT SAVANT’S KOH-TOH-SHI 

NORPA (Northern Rivers Performing Arts) and Critical Path have teamed up with Belloo Creative to bring Idiot Savant (Japan) to the Northern Rivers for the next INFORM workshop-lab. The INFORM partnership see NORPA and Critical Path work together across two years to create a development space that will explore and extend dance theatre practice in the Northern Rivers region. A series of workshop-labs will consider how dance and choreography can underpin an embodied approach to theatre and provide different methodologies for performance making. As part of this ongoing partnership, Critical Path with NORPA co-presenting a workshop-lab between artists local to the Northern Rivers region and Tokyo-based company Idiot Savant. Guest artists include Belloo Creative Co-Artistic Director and NORPA Associate Artist Caroline Dunphy, Idiot Savant Artistic Director Koh-Toh-Shi and Choreographer and performer Nao Akao.

The workshop-lab will take place 10am-4pm daily @ the NORPA Studio in Lismore City Hall.

There will be a public sharing of some of the work followed by a Q&A on Friday 30 November, 3-4pm in the NORPA Studio. This will be a means of introducing the local community to Idiot Savant and Belloo Creative. All are welcome and please save the date!
