TRANSCENDING, for Peace by Lilach Livne
Thursday 2 June, 7pm
Friday 3 June, 9pm
Duration: 75 minutes. This work contains nudity.

TRANSCENDING, for Peace*
is an invitation to reshape our perception of the other. The violence of the image and the fear of the seen create barriers and separations. By joining this 75 minutes temporary community, the audiences and performers will join hands, dance, pray and strive for an abstract way of being.

PERFORMERS: Andrew Haining (Australia), Alice Heyward (Australia), Lilach Livne (Israel), Moran Sivan (Israel) and Shahmen Suku (Australia).

Artistic Advisor: Tal Haring
Prayer Book Design: Micaela Terk

Lilach Livne (Israel, 1986) is a choreographer and performance artist who focuses on the relationship between art, philosophy, new-technology and community. Her works explore themes relating to gender, religion, pop-culture’s image obsession, body perception and the abstraction as a political agenda. Her practice is in a constant research and experimentation, creating performances, lectures, public acts, meetings, praying books and video art – all with the aim to reach the “non-image”.
