Ivey will be attempting to better understand her practice by attending to ongoing research questions in regards to hierarchy, spectatorship, subject and the nature of event, as well as through analysis of an ongoing project, Adventure Dances: Summoning Sensation.
She will be looking at spiritual practices for emptying subjectivity as an entry to interrogate notions of autonomy and ego, and will be thinking about how to establish a particular system of relations between spectator and performer by way of a shared “priming” process.
Ivey Wawn is a performer from Sydney. She has recently begun to devise her own work.
