General Manager



Position title:
                   General Manager, Critical Path

Based at:                           The Drill Hall, Rushcutters Bay

Reporting to:                     Director

Rate of pay:                       $62,400 pro rata (plus superannuation)

Days per week:                 3 days/week

Starting:                             6 Jan to end 2020 (current funding confirmed)

We are seeking a dedicated, creative and rigorous General Manager to join our small team. As a key member of a small team, you will help deliver excellent stakeholder relationships, securing resources and support for the organization (public and private).

Working closely with the Director and Board to successfully achieve the organisation’s goals and strategic plans. With the Director you will develop, implement, run and acquit short and long-term planning strategies for Critical Path including program and multi-year funding applications and any other programs that will benefit the key goals of the organization.

You will take the lead on financial management, reporting to the Director (CEO); providing effective financial management (day to day and against agreed budgets), with the support of a financial consultant and CP’s Treasurer in dialogue with the Director.

Critical Path welcomes the valuable contribution that interns make to our organisation each year.

Internships are available at different times throughout the year, and Critical Path accepts interns on an ad hoc basis so you can apply at any time.

Interns may be assigned specific projects and may also assist in the day-to-day running of the organisation. Past intern projects have included: the planning and implementation of social media campaigns, video production, the development of a network for cross-promotional opportunities, assisting in the running of events, data collection for a grant acquittal, records management and database management.

Interns at Critical Path also have the opportunity to meet choreographers, attend showings and participate in staff meetings. Interns will be introduced to the inner workings of our small but busy office and obtain experience in arts administration, project management and arts marketing.
