Critical Path is offering four artists a paid opportunity to attend a three-day development project from 20 – 22 November*, at Gunpowder Trading Post in Wolumla.
Artists participating in the project will explore and share where they find themselves in their practice now, their connections and responsibilities to community, and work to explore how they represent their work (in text, image and when speaking about it) along with what they communicate with others. Finally, they will look at how they can support each other to take their respective practices forward.
Claire Hicks, director of Critical Path, will be facilitating the agreed framework for the program, with other guest artists, working together to roll out the activities together across the three days.
The project is open to artists of any discipline who have a choreographic practice.
We asked applicants to address the following:
- Tell us about your practice, what you do and why.
- Identify your key concerns and areas for development.
- Who you work with and who are potential collaborators and partners.
- Why you want to be part of this workshop.
Applications for this project have now closed. Stay tuned for the announcements of the participating artists.
*Note; originally scheduled for 19-21 the date has since been updated to 20-22 November
