Artist Talk/ Installation

A single channel, interactive video installation for one viewer, Three Angles creates a personalised, intimate and direct engagement between the performer on-screen and the viewer. The work aims to create an affective loop between the viewer and performer’s body, highlighting the sensory physical connection between audience and performer; blurring the boundary between live and mediated physical presences, and by extension, one human being and another. As part of her Research Room residency Sandra will present Three Angles and talk about her current research into choreographic installations, supported by her Australia Council for the Arts, Dance Board Fellowship.

Sandra Parker (Director/Choreographer) is a Melbournebased choreographer whose work has been presented around Australia and internationally, and the recipient of a Centenary Medal for Services to Australian Society and Dance in 2001. Upcoming presentations include Transit (Faits d’hiver, Paris 2013); and The Recording (Dance Massive 2013).
