Critical Path in collaboration with BlakDance and in support of the BlakForm online Marketing program, will deliver a 6-day Lab intensive with 7 First Nations artists at the Drill Hall. Each of these artists come to the Lab with valuable insights to their own dance practice and creative philosophy. Through an exploration of Culture, personal and professional objectives; dialogues will encourage challenging enquiry into process, form and Cultural responsibility. Through practicing old ways; deep listening and hearing each other, and one’s self, Critical Path hopes to create an open, shared experience that nourishes focus and clarity for these artists within the larger ecology of First Nations arts.
The Lab will be delivered by Critical Path’s newest Producer, Jasmine Gulash, who has worked in the First Nations dance space for over 30 years.
