Critical Path, Carriageworks and the Keir Foundation partner to present the 2016 Keir Choreographic Award public program. This biennial Australian choreographic award is dedicated to commissioning new work and promoting innovation in contemporary dance and provide significant support to the contemporary dance sector in Australia.
The Keir Choreographic Award’s Sydney public program includes a series of thought provoking lectures and discussions with international leaders in contemporary dance.

PIERRE BAL-BLANC is a curator and art critic based in Athens and Paris. He is currently curator for the Documenta14. He was director of Contemporary Art Centre of Brétigny, France from 2003 to 2014.
Internationally acclaimed curator STEPHANIE ROSENTHAL has held the position of Chief Curator at the Hayward Gallery in London since 2007. A key focus of her curatorial practice is the exploration of the relationship between visual art and performance.
DAISUKE MUTO is a dance critic and Associate Professor of Gunma Prefectural Women’s University. His current research interests are modern and contemporary Asian dance history, and alternative theory of choreography.
HELLY MINARTI is an independent dance curator based in Jakarta. She is part of the curatorial collective at the Jakarta Arts Council since2013 and works on various projects, locally and internationally.
KIM SEONG-HEE is a programmer, curator and festival director. She was the founder of Festival Bo:m interdisciplinary arts festival (2007-13) and is now Artistic Director of Asian Culture Center, Theater.
CHOY KA FAI is a Berlin-based Singaporean artist. He graduated in Design Interaction from the Royal College of Art London and his works was presented at ImpulsTanz Festival Vienna (2015), Tanz Im August Berlin (2015, 2013) and Singapore Arts Festival (2012).
CLAIRE HICKS has been working with artists, artform and audience development for over 20 years. As an independent producer and curator her work includes dramaturgy, discourse & writing projects.
BOJANA CVEJIC is a performance theorist and performance maker based in Brussels. Her latest books are Choreographing Problems: Expressive Concepts in Contemporary Dance and Performance, A Choreographer’s Score: Drumming and Rain with A.T. De Keersmaeker, andPublic Sphere by Performance, co-authored with A. Vujanović.
ERIN BRANNIGAN is Senior Lecturer in Dance at the University of New South Wales and works in the fields of dance and film as an academic and curator.
