Research Residency

Nicola Conibere will spend 3 weeks at The Drill exploring new ideas, methodologies and collaborations of her current practice with local artists.

During her time at Critical Path, Nicola is also rehearsing with local participants to present her work Assembly, 1 -3 April at The Drill Hall as part of the 20th Biennale of Sydney.

Assembly is a live gallery work exploring shifts in relation between individual and collective bodies. To reserve a place, please click here

Nicola’s work engages choreographic processes to explore the potentials of how bodies relate, investigating states of exchange between people, duration, place and other materials. She is particularly interested in the nature and possibilities of spectatorial exchange, and often investigates notions of theatricality, public appearing and social choreography in her work.
