Sapphire Coast Open Space Technology

With Navigate Arts

Saturday 26 November. A day of thinking, talking, sharing, planning and action… In partnership with Navigate Arts

Participants will self-organise to create their own agenda on the day, allowing a dynamic and immediate response to the issues at hand. The process allows free-flowing conversations about the things that really matter to the people in the room.

We will be using Open Space Technology (OST) across the day as the framework and method for our work together. Open Space Technology shifts culture towards a more responsible and pragmatic outlook. It is a great way for groups to think, talk and take action together.

It can work for groups of different sizes and has been adapted to different time duration & delivery.

Over the last 30+ years OST has been used across the world in an incredible range of contexts. Critical Path Director Claire Hicks first encountered it in the UK in the early 2000s (where Devoted and Disgruntled was established by Improbable theatre), and it has been used by the theatre sector in Australia for a number of years.

The day will consist of 4 sessions, starting at 9.15 with a Welcome & Orientation

Session 1 – 9.30 to 10.30am

Session 2 – 10.45am to 11.45am

LUNCH BREAK is 12 to 12.30

Session 3 – 12.30 to 1.30pm

Session 4 – 1.45 to 2.45pm

3pm final sharing and close by 4pm

Critical Path will provide tea and coffee across the day
