Small Space Grants

Lexy Panetta

Critical Path offers small space grants to artists in need where The Drill Hall might be available for short periods of time.

Alexandria (Lexy) Panetta is one of the recipients of Critical Path’s February Space Residency.

Lexy Panetta is a Sydney based dancer, choreographer, and educator. She has worked independently, collaborating in choreographic projects with choreographers, musicians, and designers. She works closely with Sydney Dance Company as a teaching artist and is an academic lecturer in Dance at ACPE.

During Lexy’s time at the Drill, she will develop the choreographic concept of her new work Limbless. Limbless is an exploration of her personal physical form as an artist suffering from an auto-immune disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis. The work aims to investigate her continually shifting bodily capabilities through a range of improvisational tasks that are inspired by poems as movement scores. She will document the work’s process and archive her movement with films and scores to contribute to the finalised multidisciplinary performance piece.
