Drill Hall | 4-10 MAY
UNSW | 13-26 JULY
In response to the creative interactions and somatic work Narelle has been studying through her Australia Council Fellowship with Alice Cummins and Adrian Winkworth, she will work in the studio to develop deeper explorations for herself, and to observe these explorations interpreted by other dancers. Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui will visit Australia next year and will be a part of this research at CP, along with Kristina Chan, Paul White and Victoria Hunt. Adrien Winkworth, physiotherapist and visceral manipulation therapist will also bring another layer of awareness on a physiological and spacial level.
Narelle Benjamin is an independent dancer and choreographer and has worked with many Australian companies and international choreographers. Narelle received the Australia Council for the Arts Dance Fellowship for 2014/15. This residency is supported by the fellowship.
