UNVEILINGS // Mudrāsā মুদ্রাসা

Critical Path invite you to an evening of dance, visual arts and chats with Dr. Rakini Devi for her residency project Mudrāsā  মুদ্রাসা at The Drill Hall.

Choreographer / conceptual artist: Rakini Devi
Dancers: Vishnu Arunasalam, Amy Flannery

During her intensive three-day residency at The Drill Hall, Dr. Rakini Devi will draw on her Indian classical dance history and current practice of visual and performance art to initiate a dialogue as the first stage of a new work. Devi will work with dancers Vishnu Arunasalam and Amy Flannery to explore the body as an embodiment of cultural and social beliefs, drawing on both dancer’s cultural backgrounds and dance styles.

This residency expands upon an earlier masterclass in 2023 at Critical Path with Vishnu, Amy and Azzam Mohamed.

This will culminate in a showing at The Drill Hall on Saturday 26 October.
