Sharing – 20 December, 5pm in the Drill Hall

Skye Reynolds and Khamlane Halsackda will share an open conversation about new work in the Drill Hall on the 20 December at 5pm.

Skye & Khamlane will be in residence from 17 – 21 December at Critical Path. During this time they will begin to develop a creative methodology for their new collaboration HEN. Inspired by the ‘mother-daughter/ parent-child’ relationship as a starting point, they will explore broader connotations of this power dynamic and consider what metaphors are at play.

Skye lives in Scotland where ‘hen’ is an affectionate term for a female; Khamlane lives in Sweden where ‘hen’ has recently been introduced as a gender-neutral pronoun. Both artists are curious about the meaning of ‘feminine’ and ‘masculine’ and will investigate by stripping back their own identities.
